Wastes are transported from our clients’ premises to our treatment facility via specially-designed trucks. These trucks are designed to prevent spillage and contamination while on transit and are driven by highly trained personnel. They undergo yearly inspection and are licensed by the Department of Environment.
Medivest owns its clinical waste treatment facility, which started its operation in October 1996. For over 20 years, the plant and its first modern Stepped Hearth Incinerator have been successfully compliant of the Department of Environmental’s stringent regulations.
In 2016, true to our advocacy for sustainable waste management, we explored an environmentally-friendly technology which produces neither emission nor effluent in clinical waste treatment. We have since subscribed and installed two units of Microwave Disinfection System. As part of our commitment to provide a total solution in healthcare waste management, we are constructing an incinerator plant that will able to treat healthcare waste being solid or liquid collected from the hospitals.
Today, with certifications of ISO 9001:2015, EMS 14001: 2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007, we are committed to providing high-quality services and developing sustainable environment for all.
